The matriculations were successful
Kirsho Atanassov, Deputy Minister of Education and Science
Mr. Atanassov is the Ministry of Education and Science satisfied by the project “Partners in knowledge"?
Yes, of course. The Ministry of Science has found in Microsoft Bulgaria capable partner to accomplish various activities.
What did you achieve and what didn’t in the first five years of the project?
Everything that has been planned is realized. Some of the schemes were even overfulfilled. The practical training for the teachers, worked with information technologies for example. Another important achievement, in the first five years, was that we managed to provide licensed software for the schools in Bulgaria.
What comes in the next five years?
In the next five years “Microsoft” will invest over 1 million dollars in the Bulgarian education system. The money would be used to transform the schools in innovative structures. We will try to transform pupils into innovative people. In this way they will be changed from objects of the educational process to its subjects, which is the most important perspective.
What is your estimate about the school-leaving examinations?
I can say it’s good, because everything that was planned from the Ministry of Education and Science was performed. Most of the matriculations are checked and the others will be ready soon. In my opinion the campaign was successful; though some people have there doubts that we may have certain gabs. But we have hat a happy end and that proves the readiness of the educational system to carry out school-leaving examination.
Were there any crossings between your expectations about the school-leaving examination and the results?
As a whole there aren’t any surprises in the ratings. I can assure you that our expectations have come true.
